Inner Mongolia Youth Choir Concert
The Inner Mongolia Youth Choir will return Australian stage at City Recital Hall Angel Place Sydney on 12 December for one performance only.
The Inner Mongolia Youth Choir is an excellent glee clue and well known in both home and abroad for its performance of cappella with Mongolian style. Founded in March 1987, the Choir has performed in Sydney Opera House, Vienna Concert Hall, Spain Cathedral and Kennedy Art Centre, and was highly acclaimed. Deeply rooted in tradition, the Inner Mongolia Youth Choir will bring the music of epic folk song and the popular style of throat singing (Khoomei), accompanied by a Mongolian horse-headed stringed instrument.
From the prairie deep place sounds of nature, laden with honours song world green traditional music of which has been lost. Here is full of song and dance, for thousands of years, the horse back minority flied on this big stage, released their inner hearts, brilliant grassland culture passed on through heroic stories, legends, mottos, pastorals and dances.
“They have been combining Western choral art with their wonderful Mongolian unique style and succeed in elevating the choral art to a new height and creating a unique and distinctive style of prairie chorus,” said a music critic.
